Thinning & fuels reduction can generate piles of natural debris that may be treated or removed while complying with burn seasons & air quality concerns. Learn when, how, and where to build piles that will burn quick, clean, and safely. Prescribed Pile Burning for Landowners Webinar
Thursday, November 19 from 6-7:30pm
Hosted by Dr. Peter Kolb, MSU Extension Forestry Specialist, this 1-hr virtual program will cover the theory, methodology and practice of constructing and burning slash piles on your property. This is a safe way to dispose of your unwanted forest fuels if certain guidelines and local permits are followed. Expect a fast-paced program that will allow for questions at the end.

Community Wildfire Event - Many Lakes and area HOA's
This event is for all area residents that are interested in learning more about projects that have taken place in the past, and future projects coming up, to better prepare the area for a large wildfire. This event will give locals the chance to meet neighbors and individuals who are leading the charge on this very important subject. Residents will also learn steps that they can take personally to prepare their property.
